Good Girl Bad Boy

Women are mothers. No matter how young females are, they appear prepped for motherhood. They instinctively want to protect, to comfort and to warn the vulnerable, and this is how it seems men appear to women-as vulnerable creatures exposed to death and danger twenty-four hours a day.
 It is true than men have always done dangerous activities and work, and women have forever warned their men to be careful; in effect, "mothering" them.
The attraction of good girls to bad boys is no doubt part of this instinctive propensity to "mother", and we know that the lines separating love from mothering is blurred. It is easy for women to cross from "mothering", or caring, into love, hence we find nurses falling in love with patients in hospitals all over the world.
 Good girls falling for bad boys is as old as the planet itself, and is often depicted in the old movies of the wild-wild west where the most beautiful girl falls head-over-heels for the bad boy who comes galloping into the dusty city guns ablaze. As long as women possess this motherly instinct, good girls are going to love bad boys, and good women are going to fall in love with bad men.
