Christmas Irony

This Christmas, millions of people are going to be thinking of people who don't give a squiggly-pussycat-paw about them. There are men who adore women who don't even know or care these men exist, but the men, who don't even exist in the minds of these women they adore so much, are going to go hunting for gifts (in many cases expensive gifts) for these women they adore so much, but who do not adore them back, or, to put it in a sophisticated way, women who do not "adore them in return." There are women who are going to do the same thing for men who do not give two squiggly-pussycat paws about them either, and you know what? These women who don't give a squiggly-pussy-cat paw about these men who adore them, are actually going to take these gifts. After all, anything free take two. Some are even going to remind the men that they are awaiting their gift this Christmas. Men seldom ask for, or remind women about their gifts.
In the mean time, there are many people who really care about these men and these women who are bursting their brain and spending their hard earned money to buy gifts for people who don't give three squiggly pussycat-paws and pussycat-tail about them;people who don't even remember they exist. Among those who really, really, deeply care are:
 Mothers
Grandmothers
Great-grandmothers
Aunties
Uncles
Great-uncles
Stepfathers
Stepmothers
Schoolmates
Their own children
Nieces
Nephews
Grandchildren
Godmothers
Godfathers
Neighbours who watched them grow up in the neighbourhoods
People who looked after them when they were infants at the day-care centre
Teachers
Nurses who actually delivered them at the hospital maternity ward and made sure they came through that narrow tunnel fully alive
People who loaned them money
People who topped up their cellular phones
The dog that wagged its tail when he came home
The cat that kept the mouse out of her bedroom
These people; not one of them, is even going to get a telephone call this Christmas, not even to say "Merry Christmas." Not even a single telephone call.
 Isn't life funny?
