Frankly Speaking about Land Ownership

Listen to me. Land should be readily and easily available to every single Kittitian who wants a piece of it. It does not matter if that Kittitian lives in Timbuktu and lived there for a thousand years, and it does not matter if a woman has nine children. If each one of those nine children grew up and started working, and each one of those nine children wants to get a piece of land somewhere on the soil where he was born, this land should be made easily affordable to the nine of them. It does not have to be a big piece of land. Just land. Put the land right in the reach of the people. Some may argue about the size and the location, but even if it is one acre, it is, in my opinion, better than not having any land at all.
 You see, when a person owns land, he feels like a somebody. Ownership of things, especial things like land that have real appreciating value makes a person feel responsible, and when people own things they take care of those things, and this could result in the person starting to take better care of himself if he did not do so  very well before.
 Ownership of things gives a person a sense of responsibility, and so you will be surprised  how ownership of land could make a criminal behave his stupid self. Added to this, when a man or woman owns a piece of land he has somewhere to live. If he does not own any land anywhere, then anybody, including his mother, father and uncle could run him, could order him out of the house, off his property and put him to live on the street. If that boy owns a piece of land, no matter how small the land is, he could put a box on it and crawl in when night time comes and go fast asleep, he could snore loud and all, and nobody in their right mind could come wake him up and tell him he gotto leave his land and go because they don't like how loud he is snoring and they don't like the size of the box he is sleeping in. Even if they don't like the box he is sleeping and snoring in,and if they have all of that legal power and authority to make him move from off his land because they have a problem with the size of the box he is sleeping and snoring in, if they had the authority and power to put  the land within his grasp  so he could own it, then, instead of running him out of his box on his own land, they should also use that power and authority to put a better box within his grasp so that he could own that too. A man should not be homeless for his whole life in his own country simply because the price of land is out of his reach, and it does not matter who that man is.
